Hello!

I’m Anna Krause, ISR Instructor in Grundy County, serving Morris, Coal City, Braidwood, Wilmington and other surrounding areas! I have been married to my husband John for 11 years and we have 5 children ranging in age from high school to elementary school. My youngest two kids are twins. When I was pregnant with them in 2018 I was in the hospital and I learned of olympic skier Bode Millers 19 month old daughters drowning. Through their advocacy I heard about ISR. Fast forward to early 2019 and we moved to a home on a lake with a pool. I had 3 kids under the age of 3 and we knew we had to make sure they were as safe as possible. We installed multiple fences in different places but I knew we had to do more to get them safe. We enrolled my youngest 3 in ISR lessons in 2020. I drove over an hour each way to take them to lessons but the confidence and respect for the water they learned was invaluable. 

I have always felt strongly that Grundy County needed this resource for our kids. Recently a year round pool space became available to me and I quickly applied to become an instructor, was accepted. In January 2026, I packed up and headed to Florida for 6 weeks to complete the rigorous training. I was trained and tested in areas of psychology, physiology, anatomy, behavioral science and early childhood development principles to be able to provide the safest lessons possible for your child. 

Drowning is the leading cause of death in children ages 1-4. Drowning does not discriminate and it can happen to any family in any body of water.
